Christmas is over for another year and the decorations are being packed away but there is still much to look forward to during the winter months.

There are snowdrop walks and festivals taking place in February, and wandering through gardens and woodlands at this time of year certainly lifts the spirits. Welford Park's festival starts on 1 February and runs through until 5 March. Kingston Bagpuize House opens their gardens on 5 February and on Sunday, 26 February, they're hosting a snowdrop fair. Evenly Wood Garden is holding 'snowdrop days' between 1 and 28 February. Tickets can be bought online or at the gate; check their websites for more details.

There are winter walks and winter light displays in the gardens at Waddesdon Manor from 6 to 22 January. Warm food and drinks will be available to buy whilst there. Or if you would like to walk during the day, try part of the Oxfordshire Way from Pyrton up to the aptly-named Christmas Common. It's just 2 miles, uphill, but you'll be able to refresh yourself at the Fox and Hounds in Christmas Common!
You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to celebrating the feast of St Valentine. We have access to many fabulous restaurants and pubs in and around the city of Oxford. On our doorstep is la Table d'Alix in Great Haseley and The Crazy Bear in Stadhampton. Happy Valentine's Day!
