The Laurels started life as three agricultural buildings used for storing tractors, equipment and machinery whilst the surrounding land was used for grazing animals by our neighbouring farmer. The buildings became redundant and to save them from falling into disrepair, we converted them into unique and comfortable holiday homes. We'd like to think we've installed everything people will need when on holiday - quality domestic appliances in classy kitchens, a decent hot water and heating system, relaxing sitting rooms with Smart TVs and sound bars, super fast fibre broadband and comfy beds in cosy bedrooms as well as shower rooms to match the number of bedrooms. That's what we look for when we manage to get away. Today, we provide a stunning holiday base in a glorious environment for visitors to explore Oxfordshire.

Having planted hundreds of hedging plants and trees to create a haven for wildlife, our focus was on sustainability when it came to building conversion. We've used recycled materials throughout the buildings wherever possible and installed air source heat pumps to provide underfloor heating and hot water to each home. And our Swedish air source heat pumps work! Key was installing plenty of insulating material. Electrical appliances are energy-saving and water softeners reduce calcium build-ups in pipework. And we thought about cleaning materials too; all are eco-friendly. Our equipment and service suppliers are local businesses so delivery miles were kept to a minimum but more importantly, we supported small enterprises on our doorstep.
